Living Sober

How about we take a break from the political talk and head into a belief system or state of mind that has served me very well for almost half a decade, living sober.  For all my friends in the world of AA, or those that have family members that are battling addiction problems I do not need to say to much here.  However it has been my experience in 16 months of blogging that the majority of my readers are not alcoholics or drug addicts such as myself, but “normies” whom are searching for someone to say what it is that they are thinking.

For me to say I am living sober is far more than just not drinking or putting cocaine in my nose.  It is a complete and utter psychic mind shift that took place in my life.  It involved hitting a bottom, a hard bottom, in which I became willing to look at my life and all events interacting with it in a new light, with a new pair of glasses.  It surely involved finding the Lord, who was standing there the whole time, but it also meant that all the cornerstones of my life needed to be examined, and as needed, blown up, and replaced with new ones.

This process is defined by 12 steps in AA, and it is a process I have done and continue to do on a daily basis, far from perfect, but try my best.  It also has helped me understand the cycle of acceptance.  It is really bad news when you have a wife betray you, steal your money, have you thrown in jail on false charges, and essentially destroy your reputation and ability to work at normal jobs again for the rest of your life.  Bad news indeed, and that is exactly what happened to me over five years ago, but that bottom helped me learn acceptance, and how to work through the cycle of acceptance.

I have attached a chart which shows the process so well, I use it often in my writings.  I have also learned that when I try to tell people they are in denial, or anger, and walk them through this chart it does not help.  It seems people have to come to acceptance of the problems within our country on their own terms, if at all.  If I never hit bottom, and was forced to look deeply at my self centered, money driven life, I would never have the wisdom that I have today, never would have started Faith & Survival, never see so clearly as I do the fall of America, because I would be to busy only living for myself, instead of trying to help others and be of service to mankind.

Living Sober is a daily process, 24 hours at a time.  It means that I have to not be angry, bitter, harbor resentments, and place limits and boundaries around me.  This has been challenging to say the least.  What I write about is as controversial as it gets. I get weekly death threats, stalkers, haters, and of course their is no government that will be there for my aid, since it is them I discuss as the problem.  My advice to all that are embarking a path similar to mine of waking up the masses and preparing for revolution is simple.  Place God first, simple sober living second, get 8 hours of sleep, and remove any negativity or negative people out of your life that you can.

How does one name a business, passion, website and belief system with the opening word of faith, if they have none.  I have faith in spades.  A great belief in a higher power, someone else in charge besides me.  My life is not in my hands but the Lords.  It was a process to come to this belief system, for decades I thought I was in charge, that I had power, that my life was happening as I determined it to happen.  “It is only when we lose everything our we ready to look at everything”, and that is just a small part of my story into finding Jesus.

My opening expression of my faith brings several friendships with fellow believers.  It also has brought persecution beyond what I ever thought.  I word it this way today.

“God has chosen to open the eyes of those he has chosen to accept the great truth of scripture and the fall of America, and those he has not, their eyes remain closed”. They don’t have to go hand in hand, and to many of my readers it seems they have accepted God but are not in full agreement with how fully we are about to implode.  But it does seem to go hand in hand that many non-beleivers today are not open at all to what I am discussing and writing about.

Now with my open statements of the lord and the use of scripture to support many of my positions comes a definite group of people whom prefer to throw me into a 2012 end of times conspiracy nut.  Let me be clear, do I believe in the book of revelation, and that we will live out a future life as it is written, absolutely.  Do I have any idea of what timeline that will happen, none, only the father knows. Do I think that all the facts I pull together show a VERY CLEAR short term timeline to the final and full collapse of America, yes.

I have very clear favorite passages of scripture, let me share them with you.

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil.  For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12

No one can serve two masters.  For you will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money. Matthew 6:24

The nations and the kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world.  But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come.  Matthew 24:7-8
