Survivalist Thoughts—The Day AFTER Christmas
America…You have the opportunity to make a difference in your life today December 26th, 2010. You will be waking up with thoughts of after Christmas sales dancing in your head. What a great time to get those not sold Christmas bed sheets, and other junk at 50% off! Heck load up the cart on some more Christmas colored M&M’s or Snicker bars that will taste just as good, and what nutritional content they have, maybe they will take your food stamps for those items……..STOP!! Just STOP!!
I usually don’t start my national blogs by alienating 43 million of my potential readers, who am I kidding, they will not be concerned with my writings, they are focused on the after Christmas American right of going to Wal-Mart and buying more crap made from China. How about I make a recommendation on how to go about your business today based on what I am going to do, and that I believe gives me and those I love a chance at a great day.
Morning Prayer, followed by a healthly breakfast. Then time for a P90X workout routine. Today is chest, shoulders, triceps, and AB ripper, (I hate it….but I love it). Then time for the 11am church service to worship the Lord, and enjoy the fellowship of other like minded brothers and sisters in Christ.
I do then plan on stopping at Costco today for some large quantities of bottled water, coffee, medical supplies, and some basic food necessities in large 25 lb bags. We even are going to stop at REI, (It’s a sporting goods store), to pick up some high efficiency fuel for my camp stove and a really good pair of waterproof, and comfortable hiking boots, (that might just be on sale today).
I don’ have anything to return today because all the gifts I received were meaningfull gifts that my friends and loved ones knew would be what I could use.
Let me give you one piece of advice. If you do have several hundred dollars worth of junk to take back. Get your returns in cash, unless they offer you gold or silver, (most likely not,) and go to your local Costco or Sam’s Club. Stock up on bottled water, large basic food commodities. Go to your local sporting goods store, buy a great, waterproof pair of hiking boots, maybe a water filtration bottle, and extra propane for your propane camping stove. DON”T go buy more junk to replace the junk you are taking back.
God Bless You
God Bless America
